I came in and picked up a basket, and started on the first tree, picking every peach possible in my reach.

I walk in and grab a baskit. I climb up the first tree and pick the fruit off. I take a few leaves and then hop to the next tree and start again.

I saw a boy from my school, climb up one of the trees, but I didn't say anything, cause we would both get in trouble. I moved onto the next tree and picked fruit off of it.

I filled up my basket, and picked up another one, I started picking off the bottom of the other boys tree. I figured both our work would go faster with him at the top and me at the bottom.

I put my pair of glasses on, and finished picking the fruit off the tree, I started on the next one, thinking that we had to get most of this row done soon.

I finish that tree and get to the last one. I climb up a bit higher to get some of the better fruit. I finnaly hear the four note whistle that signals the end of a day. I climb down and wink at the girl. I put down my basket and check out then go to my next job.

I finished just as the whistle bell went off, I winked back. And moved on to the next tree. I was working over time so I could get some more money.

I notice that she is still going so I stay with her and clock back in. I grab a baskit and see only one peace maker. He has no whip or gun so I go close to her. "Thank you." I go to the top and start picking.

"No thank you." I whispered toyon before he climbed the tree again. I picked the fruit from the bottom part of the tree and let him take care of the fruit I could reach.

I pick up the extra fruit. I lean down next to her and smile. "Come on over to my house after this, I think you would like some meat." I go to the next tree and keep picking.

I smile and keep going to make sure I keep up with her. I think of what I will do with her but I know I'll find something. I can't wait to get home and cook up the meat. I think I'll grab a few greens and buy a loaf of bread and butter. I also think I can slip in some fruit. I focuse and keep picking. Thank goodness it's not harvest. I think and keep moving.
